Just take note, and im sure you have and obviously know, but the above are Quad xenons.

Therefore if you only have Xenons then you can only really black out 2 of the 4.

BUT

If the xenons are Bi-Xenons then you may even black out the inner lights and run the highbeams to the Bi Xenon trip switch which opens the xenon "flap" to let more light through.

I have also toyed with the idea to black out the innerds.

Will maybe photoshop mine to have a look

Not sure what your talking about if you have quad xenons you can black out the entire housing and shrouds, it doesn't make a difference. Low beams you run both lights shutter down. High beams both lights shutters up.

I already have FX-R 3.0 3inch projectors at home, with ballasts and bulbs and wiring harness. I'm going to get another set and do the above conversion, to my halogen lights.

Edit I think i kind of see why you're saying. You're saying if the xenons are not bi xenon then I won't have brights? I will be using FX-R projectors which are bi xenons.

I have a set of FX-R 3" projectors if you are looking to buy.

This is obviously a highly subjective matter. My personal opinion is that what makes xenons/projector headlights look so good in the first place is the detail of the shroud over the projector lens - it just looks much more modern as compared to the halogen reflector bowls. If everything is blacked out, I feel it hides a lot of the attractive elements to projector headlights.
