Cracked my Chargepipe

So I was in lovely Durban this weekend and besides enjoying the great weather, I also enjoyed my car ensuring that whichever reasonable place allowed,I used LC and sideways around the twisty's... :rollsmile: It was really nice and the car was performing well :thumbs: In essence, for most of the weekend, the car was driven hard but not negligently until I floored it on Saturday night and heard a loud back fire and then limpmode :thumbdo: Popped the hood to see if anything was visibly wrong until I saw this;



My friggn chargepipe split into two from the bended weld :nonono: Left the car at BMW and they said it can take a minimum of 3 weeks if the part isnt in stock

I hope someone can lend me a spare x35i in the mean time :tease:

seems to me you might be able to do a temp fix with some silicone pipe and clamps?

Temporary Plasti weld? Soldering iron and some cable ties as filler.

Thanks guys but the car is on motorplan and I don't mind them putting a new in for me :=): I actually asked for the old one back......hint hint....cough meth cough....LOL :rollsmile: But they wouldn't unfortunately as all broken parts needs to be assessed....dont know how true this is though. Apparently part is in stock so car will be ready by Thursday by the time they receive and fit.....

Well, it basically means another trip to Durban :joy:
