Take it to BMW.

It will be noted on the system and used in the event that you have a cooling system issue on the car.

Its not often the case that the car will ask for coolant. I have never had to fill coolant in mine.

If the car is under MP take it to BMW.

Karsh is right, its very very rare for these car to ask for coolant. Ask them to investigate for any possible leaks.

Because these cars run so hot small leaks are not always visible.

I had a coolant leak once and BMW replaced the radiator

Common problem on the n55 engines in the E series is that the water bottles leak.
I had mine replaced under MotorPlan

As mentioned previously I agree, rather take it to a dealer. It is then recorded for future reference if need be. If you are Pretoria based you are welcome to pop in to Leo Haese Pretoria.
If the vehicle starts giving overheating messages, rather call BMW on-call.

Most probably a coolant leak, my 335i developed one.. Was only picked up in the workshop as it was actually in for a oil pump leak. My issue was a drainage plug close to the radiator.. No warning lights ever came on though. Must have been very minor..
