Do the new 7s and S class cars still come with these type of windows ? I haven't paid much attention to them.

No, either standard or full protection package.

Although I'd guess the standard glass is slightly thicker than that of the lower models, to aid in noise suppression. Not too sure of the specs.

If I remember correctly the standard E38 still had double glazed windows :)

Shouldn't this car have the quad exhaust as well?

Only Autostyle specials have a quad exhaust I believe.

The 7 is a gentleman's car.
you are correct. But i have encountered 2 individual models and both had factory fitted quad exhausts. It actually didn't look too bad. The aftermarket installs look terrible.

Such a pitty. Would love something like this as a daily to bash around in but no service history and that price just does not compute. And are the willing to negotiate, are they willing to send the car for a inspection at a place of your choice. Nope.

Between possible gearbox failure looming, vanos being useless, suspension needing work 90K is a bit rich.

The lower-end engine classes could have the thicker windows as an option, but not full on protection. That was reserved for the top of the range.

like mine, almost feels like triple thick glass, everyone thinks its bullet proof.....let them believe it, I doubt anything over a .22 will be stopped, but at least I am safe from smash and grab

Old reply but just a point, your not safer in a smash and grab. They hit my father in his E38 a few years back, they just hit twice.

Didn't the last 740i's in AC trim come with 4 pipes?
