Hi guys,

New to the forum. I recently picked up my new 320d M Sport, A/T, Xenon, Sunroof, Front and Rear PDC and 19" rims,

Just wondering what the opinion is on which is the better tyre between the Continental Run Flat versus the Bridgestone Potenza. I noticed that the F30 comes with either of the two.

Cant comment on any other types of Potenza tyres but, I had Bridgestone Potenza RE040 on a Mazda RX8 and they were shocking in wet conditions. On the 125i I have now it has conti SSR SC5 on and they are fantastic.

My 2cents worth..... Had conti's and had terrible experiences with them in the wet.... left the highway twice with 2 different cars - front wheel drive XR3i and a e46 330i with aquaplaning, switched to bridgestones and never had the issue again, albeit they can be "nervous" in the wet to. Of all the tyres in the wet that I've had the most confidence with it has to be Michelin. Seem also to get great km's out of them but you do PAY for them!

On non run flats, I personally prefer the Contis:thumbs:

I had Bridgestone Potenza RE050 and the walls started cracking:thumbdo:
