Has anyone on the Forum installed a cone on an E92 325i with pics of the install.

Normally I just remove the air box and install but it seems on the e92 the MAF sensor is on the box.

Dont do it. Just buy a flap pan filter. BMC or K&N

Open up your airbox, you should see the original filter is a cone filter. (My e90 325i had this)

I installed the original BMW performance cone filter into my airbox. Its essentially k&n but dry.

If you have a panel filter then rather get a performance panel filter as there is hardly any sound difference if that is what you are looking for.

I will try attach a part number when I can, pm me your vin and I can confirm on realoem what airbox and filter you have.

The N52 air filter has a cone filter design.

KnN have a replacement filter.

But i doubt you would notice any difference.

I bought myself a BMC performance filter (Cylindrical) on my E92 325i noticable difference however the lip on the airbox is narrow so it sometimes slip off so ive wedged a wooden block to keep the filter in place (its temp until i get back to SA)
