Hi guys,

Im kinda p'd off a bit as just received my maf sensor back after it being lost amongst other parts at my previous mechanic. the shitty part is that the bottom part of the air filter box is missing and the top part is cracked in half:thumbdo:

Any ideas what i would pay for a filter box? or should i go the cone filter route? Model - e36 318is

My suggestion would be to try find a full CAI system. A cone filter will just suck in all the hot air in the engine bay.

+1 on the CAI system, a Cone Filter simply sucking in hot engine air, is considered a negative performance modification.

Possibly look at the Pipercross Air Intake system.

A quick google came up with the Dave F kit and Simota. Can't find much on Dave F but I did see that Simota still do some type of kit.

I'm not really clued up with the E36. Hopefully some other members with more knowledge can add.

Check out amazon.com. I'm pretty sure I saw a k&n cai discounted either 50% or 70%. I think it's fall under the global eligible program so you would know what shipping and imports cost would be.
