Ok, 24 hours later on the e92 and no codes... think its safe to say these will not throw codes.
I'm no photographer, so these pics are the best I could do.
The outer rings are dimmer than the inner rings.
This is because of the design of the angel eyes, whereby one bulb lights up both rings, and since the bulb is sutuated within the inner ring, it naturally shines much brighter.
The only way around this is to open the headlights and do a complete LED 4 ring installation (some might be familiar with the OSS setup.. which is not an option, as it will cost a couple of thousand Rands).
We will fit e46 kit over the weekend, as well as e90-specific bulbs.
The e90's pre-lci and lci with halogen lamps use a completely different bulb to the ones used on the e92 and e90 lci with xenons... so these need to be tested.
I'm sure it will be error free as well.
In comparison to the GP Thunder halogen bulbs:
1. The LED bulbs are whiter, and GP has a hint of blue
2. LED doesn't turn a light yellow when switching on parks - remains white
3. Both LED and GP will dim when switching on parks - normal functionality from BMW
Some pics:
With headlights and fogs switched on:
E90 specific bulbs:
E46 Kit:
And just one pic that has absolutely nothing to do with the bulbs, but shows the LED LCI tail lamps
