hey guys

the clutch pedal on the M takes very very low. would my suspicions be right by saying that there could be air in the system because the brakes feel a tad spongy.. oh, and the front brakes need to be done..

help please.

It's normal in the E36 M3 for the clutch to take virtually on the floor. There's also a restrictor at the slave cylinder that prevents the clutch from being released too quickly.

My gearbox was intermittently sticky on my E36 325i, well it's not an M, but after replacing the slave cylinder it's SOOOO much better and the clutch also takes slightly higher.

Just my 2c- like I said...its not an M.
Just watch out while bleeding as I realised that the brake fluid resiviour is split into separate compartments for the clutch and brake operations, (On my 95 atleast) and was running empty even though the main compartment was still topped up

Well my clutch took also way down, I replaced it last week it is much easier to engage into gear now, so it can't be normal for it to take virtually on floor also bleeding the clutch won't make a difference.

Also look at a braided clutch hose .......you can make one up with a sample. The rubber over time degrades an swells once presurised .

will do guys 444yyy

only one problem.. you know, people normally throw a spanner in the works but I got a spanner thrown at me. I have this clucking sound on the right and the "BMW specialist" quoted on the report that its the rack ends. Menot being happy with this "deduction" I took it to a place called Precision Wheel Alignment in Parow.

These okes are the next best thing to sliced bread with peanut and jam. They firstly check the car out at no cost. Then I was told, "Bro come look here, Here in lies the problem. your steering rack bush is buggered so you need to have the steering rack overhauled and then you need a connecting stabilizer something, which he showed me.

I was like dude, so I was going to spend 2500 to have stuff fixed that wasn't even the problem in the first place. He smiles and says, that's right. they even gave me the details of a place that would do it for a fraction of the price that other dudes will do it. will continue using these guys, they are awesome and they don't want to rape your pocket when its not needed. :joy:
