Clutch override on 120d

Was thinking of a way to start my 2005 120d six speed manual without depressing the clutch. Googled it and found that it can be done by bridgeing two wires going to the clutch pedal. Any one on the Forum done this and am i correct in assuming connecting the wires 3 and 4 together then the car will start without me depressing the clutch?

Getting annoyed with having to depress the clutch to start the car. Want to start it without depressing the clutch. I am old skool! Depressing the clutch every time i start in my case i usually let it out before i put it in first or reverse as i first start the car and then i put my seatbelt on and/or close the door. I believe in saving the clutch. Do not want to be on the clutch if i can avoid it. Its just me. Also, my 2005 530d manual does not have this feature and i find it very convenient not having to depress the clutch to get the engine going. As i said, it is just me!

Your clutch isnt the only thing thats depressing lol.

Maybe you should get an auto, oh wait you need to press the brake for that...

I don't see how this will save the clutch.

It's not grinding while in neutral to start the car.

Bridging wires - I'd be more concerned of the potential fire hazard than the half a calorie it takes to press the clutch.

You See SOLO all these youngsters need to be told to push the clutch in to start the car because they forget to take the car out of gear when they switch it off and then car then jumps when they start it, this is a safety mechanism because they cant think for themselves. (insert ROLOTFLMAO )

Thats why they need to Get Autos so there is one thing less to do when driving.

I would't do this, as having the clutch depressed single present will probably permanently be switching the cruise control off, and might interfere with the DSC as well
