Clutch kit and power steering hoses

So I managed to burn out my clutch...
My tyre got a puncture when i moved out of someones way and into a ditch I went where I (like an idiot) tried to get out abd burned my clutch out...

So can anyone get me a decent clutch in cape town. Cheapest iv found is R3500 from midas and its a LUK clutch which i know is oem and quite a good price but need to see if i can get it cheaper.

The power steering hose is the short one infront i will post a pic if i can manage to do that on the forum. Bmw quoted R780 but Goldwagen said i can have one made up. Any one know if this is true?

I replaced that hose for R50 and 4 years later and almost 70k km later its still fine. Use angle grinder on the fitting if you cant get it off. Only cut that brownish part not the silver. You need to make a horizontal slit in the fitting the peel it off. A new hose from any hydraulic shop and 2 clamps.

The clutch on the other hand is not cheap. You also need to change the flywheel which is more expensive that the clutch.

i also need that hose...and bottle..and cooler...trying to find one off car thats stripping but its been months now..maybe i should just pay a fortune at BMW..i screwed it up with a grinder :roflol:

Try Diesel Electric, they quote me for my dmf and clutch.

I replaced both the ps reservoir hoses with BMW hoses, lets hope they last another 14 years :fencelook:

Take a sample of the pipe and run off to a hydraulics shop( eden machine hydraulics, rudman hydraics)

They can make up these pipes and will be cheaper than Bmw.

I can't remember the exact prices, but it was in the 600 bucks range for each. I will go look for the receipt tonight (if I remember) :hammerhead:
