Club Motors Fountains PTA - Your experience?

Hi Guys,

What has been you experience with Club Motors Fountains PTA?

Reason for asking, I'm having a bit of fight with them and would like to establish if it's just me, or is this poor service delivery by them a common occurrence.

All ready filed a complaint with BMW SA, and received a case number.

Never had a problem with them actually, in fact I advised a friend to take his car there instead of Zambesi as they gave him crap service :dunnoanymore:

Bought my last car there.

Top notch service, and after sale service, and even post MP service.

Ive also found that their 2nd hand cars are priced very well.

@OP - have you addressed your issues with the DP? Im not sure if its still the same guy I dealt with (think his name was Alwyn). He was very reasonable.

We bought a used X5 from them in January, it's now 47 days later and there are a few small things wrong with car that has been repaired 90%. The car came back last night again with the same issues after they had it for close on a week now.

Their pre-sales service was excellent, after sales services sucks big time. Got the DP, TJ Jonker, involved who promised to take a personal look into the matter, after my second phone call to him got a very sarcastic answer which just pissed me off, hence me getting BMW SA involved.

i am sorry to hear, seems like the DP changed, which should explain the difference in service.

Hi Alwyn left a couple of year ago, TJ is the new DP there.

long story short , they forgot to connect some engine components correctly which almost cost me a car and my life.... according to BMWSA it would have caught on fire while driving. terrible oversight from them.

We always used to service our cars with them when Virgillio was the service manager... Always got great service. Since Virgillio left, the service has been shocking. Sent my car in for a service - they had to keep it for a day longer. Aside from the oil service, none of the other items that I asked them to look at were attended to. They did replace the brakes, which squeaked like crazy for 6 months after. Sent it in after 6 months of squeaking (and highlighted all the items that they didn't attend to) and got it back with... low and behold... squeaking brakes and none of the other identified items attended to. When the service advisor called me to tell me that the car is ready, I stressed that I would be exceptionally frustrated if the squeaking brakes were not attended to - he's suggestion was that perhaps I let the technician take my car home for the evening to confirm that it has been resolved. I was speechless... Let's just say that I graciously declined that offer.

To cut a long story short though, I traded the car in a few months ago and would not be keen on taking my new car to them. Pity as they were my dealership of choice for years...

They have been great for us, but strongly recommend Zambesi if you going to get an M car.

Bmwsa are useless unfortunately.

Never had issues with them, only great service
