I'm really stoked with myself right now. Managed to code my e90 320d
Chirps on lock and unlock. No more selt belt gong. Digital speed display on the display.

Lol.

Did it with my 320d. Did it today. I have inpa but not very clued up using ncs expert.
Anyways after reading this thread I did a Google search for bmwhat downloaded it and it worked with my inpa cable.

As for the e36 I didn't try as yet. Will try tomorrow

Thats what i wondered...u said u bought bmwhat.....bnwhat dont exist...its now Carly for Bmw. Why did u not say u used carly....? Lol

just a update for u guys... carly say my ecus is to complex... what is bs... i bought carista (a alternative app) and i coded my car...and the new version will have lots more settings to code than carly (old bmwhat) and cost only R254 vs carly of R678 .

Im verry happy now :)

The second link is a proper cable. The first 1 is an elm327 and has limited usage.

As for the carly. Are you using an elm327 cable or bluetooth dongle? If so that's the problem

Bluetooth...but carista works 100% with it...where carly say it cant...so the elm327 is 100% good enough for coding. :rollsmile:

Did you ever get around to trying it out on the E36, Peej? Would love to try it on my E46 as well.
