those part nr's are for koni sports.

i think the street (str) should also be compatible , the coilovers may be "too" hard... i can vouch for the sports however.

Think ill be going with the Koni STR, just going to focus on the fronts for now. Also foing to cgange top shock mounts.

Ralf how much will you charge to fit?
And will you be able to check test the control arms and all those bushes?

I "think" that the average labour rate is:
R250 per front shocks
R200 per rear shocks

might be slightly more if the job is more complex

We can check all bushes etc for play/wear, and also replace if required

remember on the rear, in the case of the e39, both rear seat pieces must come out, the entire parcel shelf aswell, this is to get to the shocks. the removal and refit of this alone is probably 1hr.

save some labour and remove the rear seats and parcel shelf first at home, have the job done, go home, and refit.

Yeah, I know those rear seats need to be out. The bottom of the seat is easy as pie. Can have it out in less than a minute. The backrests, however, is a bit more tricky. I've never done it, but I've seen the DIY's and I'm sure I can do it.

The parcel shelf will come out only when I want it recovered, and the columns recovered as well. So rear shocks I'm not too worried about now. The front takes the most weight and the most damage, and are already making noises, so those are my priority.

good strategy. ive stripped and fitted a few e39s from scratch. my current 530d got totally gutted, as i fitted black //m interior... dynavin system, black lower dash, sports seats swap etc.. feel free to pm me if u need pointers..
