sounds good. i wonder what the effect and or sound would be like if you removed the center box and left the rear box in place ??/

i have a similar setup on mine, although not a stock rear box. It does sound different, a bit deeper maybe?

Im suspecting crank pulley or viscous fan. Have you flushed your power steering system?

Both checked and fine.

I know a power steering whine. It's not that.

It's been going on for over a year now.

My crank pulley looked fine visually but was making a bit of noise for some reason, replaced it and the noise is gone. In terms of the pump it doesn’t always wine , most of these cars are over 10years old so a fluid change can only be of benefit even if it doesn’t solve the issue. :rollsmile:
