Have you tried another key? Could be the immobilizer, either the part in the car or the part in the key.

Wait I just remembered my uncle had the same problem a year back with his 05 330ci, it turned out to be a faulty key, guys at bmw said it happens quite often.

He ordered a new key and all was fine :thumbs:

I called a reliable guy from BMW, according to him 9/10 times it's the key in this scenario :thumbs:

In the interim if it gives you a hassle, tap the key on the steering wheel a few times and it should start :thumbs:

From the agents you're looking at approx R2200

There's lots of independent guys that do it for you for approx R1500 :thumbs:

But I'll PM Nick from South East Auto and get a quote for a key.

I also don't want to have the car checked out and analysed and get charged an arm and a leg just for inspection....?
