Castrol Oil Advisory

Hey Guys

Wanted to know. How accurate is the Castrol website with regards to recommended oil.

For example. A 330i M54 engine is recommended to use 0w-30w Castrol Edge.

Is this correct?

The owners manual should indicate the proper oil for the car?

maybe check and see if it compares?

Some Midas shops have a catalogue from Castrol themselves that lists the correct oil. They will give you OEM recommended and then premium, regular, basic oil recommendations etc.

Just got Magnatec Professional 5w30 for my E90 330i

From what I have been told 5w-40 is the rating to use in that motor?
Liqui-Moly seems to have a couple of different oils but they all appear to be either 5w-30 or 5w-40 for that car/motor
