i cant complain much,only thing was the cars were far away from the coffee shop,and the rent a cop and no photo nonsense

by the way have done some scouting in centurion,found one place got some pictures,went to a second but was disappointed will try again this saturday and send yo a e-mail:thumbs:

I think the way forward to get permission from the venue. This way, we have no issues with the rent a cops. WRT the parking close to a coffee shop, its going to be difficult as we expect to gather a crowd and we would like to park together. At many shopping centre, the customers usually park closer to the shops.

I will leave the Centurion one to you!!

i will get hold of thunder to get the dolphin banner back so as we can put it up,just need a garden bed as it goes into the ground,wouldnt have worked at the last one ,but will try make a stand for it

Firstly, thanks to cocopops for the punt on the portal page. Cars and coffee has certainly hit the fanatics and its becoming a well known event.

We have successfully had 3 Cars and coffee meet ups. Thanks to Colin for arranging the venue in Centurion.

To put cars and coffee on the map, I would like to propose that Cars and coffee be held monthly on the 2nd Saturday of every month going forward.

Is there anyone in yhe South that can find us a location for the next c&c?

Hey aRBee, how about rooftop of The Glen.

I also know the owner of Newscafe Meyersdal, his brother had a car show in the parking lot a while back, there is lots of space, I see he is busy revamping, not sure when it will reopen

V1.4 is being arranged!

Ok, as per above, v1.4 is on the way. Im just struggling to find a location, if all else fails it will be at the BP Garage on the M2 (or M1), by Xavier st offramp/Gold Reef City.

Just a bit of a note to all... This will be the last Cars and Coffee for 2013. We will start again in Feb 2014, with V2.1 at Edenvale again... Then Fourways, Centurion and the South again.

Park Meadows... Thats the east bro. Looking for something in the South, aka The Glen side.

Park Meadows was an option for the East, however with the Food Lovers Market open till 5pm on Saturday, that parking lot is usually full.

Hi Guys.

Was chatting to a buddy of mine overseas and when i was he was at an event which is held by different enthusiast clubs often. Its not limited to specific brands or whatever but this is what it is...

As the title says, Cars and Coffee. Like the Ice Cream Meets, this is held at a Garage but not at night. Morning, like a breakfast meet. The guys overseas go as far as having it on a weekday before work but i think we can safely have it on a weekend.

What do you guys think? Like the ice cream meets, its not limited to Coffee, can be breakfast or Lunch. As long as its during the day, in broad daylight.

Main purpose is, to get the enthusiasts together but another purpose is to cater for the photographers. Clean cars and daylight...

Ok, so im back on the ball with the Cars and Coffee... I have emailed The Glen, Cedar Square and Stoneridge to allow us use of their premises on an every 3 month basis. I am still going to chat to the Centre in Centurion.

The plan is to let the Cars and Coffee manage itself, or the members manage it.

The Basics of Cars and Coffee:
1. (as soon as we receive permission) The event will be held at one of the above venues.
2. The event must be held on the 2nd Saturday of every month.
3. Thread to be started once center management has given permission. (We might need to remind them before the thread goes up, just in case they forget.)
4. Not limited to coffee, but a non-alcoholic beverage should be on the agenda for the meet.
5. Event time to be sent from 3pm - 7pm.
