Carbon finally getting repaired

The issue with that Pearl orange is that it is a frikken bitch to repair.

Its not bad to do it first time, but to recreate the color if you have any slight inperfections, to match it is a pain in the butt.

Make sure the guys give you like an extra litre of paint anyway. Or they need to use a standard color, and give you the color code.

The worst color in the world to do is ST orange, can be done, only after you have resprayed half the car to fix some stone chips..

But from what I have seen, these guys are pro's....

Just remember, if your going to mix custom, get at least one litre to keep :)

Just a daft question

If your car is registered as Blue - and you respray it white , do you have to re-register it ?

there is a color change form that you have to fill in, so in a way ye,s but not as much hassle as a whole re register

The orange is awesome, but I must point something out - seen an old riced up polo and mx6 painted this colour. Not sure if they are trying to copy the orange 1M look or the Focus ST, but this is the problem I foresee...

I think you'll do yourself a disservice by changing the colour. In time, when you want to trade it or sell it, there will be traces of the original white and with a contrasting colour it will be very noticable and will have a negative effect on the price that you will get. I would recommend sticking to the original colour and enhancing the car with other things. Like wheels, body trim, interior trim, etc.
I'm sure it'll be back to good once it's fixed though, regardless of colour. Good luck.

Why not keep it white, but have it done in the Pearl white like on the Lexus, where it changes colour on different angles...
