Come now guys, we are all a bunch of likeminded people here who try and do as much with the Forum guys as possible. Unfortunately, not all the events can be attended, sometimes a choice needs to be made, whether that be racing or spending time with family.

The work some fanatics do on this forum cannot be diminished by a poor turnout, because no matter how small the effort, without it, there would be no value.

The winter charity run is coming up and that must be the show stopper... great work done by Fraser and the guys supporting him... let us concentrate our efforts on that event, I sure will.

And again, not all Fanatics might want to join for various reasons, but that is their right.

Like I told a few guys.

I honestly dont mind if work or something came in the way of people attending. But honestly don`t put your name on the list and then not pitch up.

Didnt even get msgs from guys saying sorry this happened and they are sorry for not pitching.

We had 3 guys drive from Pretoria, 2 more local guys myself excluded, 1 from JHB South and then one all the way from Vanderbjil park, (and he even did the effort to be at the meetup spot before the event), and I don`t know where Denzel is from, but he even brought a buddy with.

So honestly no one who had there names on the list had any excuses why they couldnt join up.

Put my number on here if anyone should have gotten lost, posted everytime we moved as well.

So I am very dissapointed in the turnout.
But thats just my opinion. Each to his own.

Bruce, I do agree with your comments.... 1. Don’t put your name on the list if you have no intention of attending and 2. Phone if you cannot make it, especially after you left your phone number on an open forum of all things.

At lease now, by process of elimination, you know who you can depend on...

No personal intent here of course, let’s maybe just keep the name and shame specific.

You know, there might be thousands of registered Fanatics in this forum, but one thing is for sure, when it comes to truly committed Fanatics who are actively involved.... there is only and handful, maybe 100 members.

So let’s keep all the active Fanatics interested, even if they need a second chance.

I put my name on the list, and was going to join, something personal happend and I didnt pitch. I however dont think I owe anyone more than an apology, which I did. We all fanatics and life happens.

Guys please, let's not start a heated discussion here about who truly is or is not a Fanatic and so forth, otherwise mods will close the thread. We're all adults here. Nothing personal was intended by anyone. Just a little disappointment from a few sides.

I myself did not stay for the entire show (and yes, ALL the cars belonging to Fanatics were entered into the show and were displayed on the show grounds as you can see in the photoS). So my apologies for not staying as late as I wanted to. Had to meet Grandma for a braai. But I did buy a raffle ticket and I did buy myself and Schmetzi a burger and a couple of hot dogs and something to drink, so as to support the school.

But most importantly, I showed up to support Thunder for all the effort he put into this event on behalf of the Fanatics and I into getting people to attend, because I know he would have attended if it were my event.

Thumbs up

My car is still in So you wanted me to walk there. :fencelook:

Daaltjie I don't, or rather hope, no one is taking it SO personal that it is "heated"

I can understand disappointment, just don't take it to personal guys. Keep in mind, we all adults with personal lives, Life happens and we might not keep to arrangements made here. :
