Was at the Car Shootout yesterday. Chris Harris was the test driver (Deon Joubert also did some laps the previous day apparantly to get base times) and he had some good things to say about the 135iM auto that was available for testing. Did not have many cars for the shootout (Megane RS, Clio RS, Fiat Abarth 659 (he did not even go for the timed run, just took it around and brought it in saying it was "junk" (can't print the word he used) and also said it is a "shopping trolley for stupid people" or something to that effect, Golf TSi 35, Focus ST, Astra OPC (had only good to say about the Opel and said it was the first Opel to really handle and that the engineers did their job very well), Audi 1 FSi, Alfa 2l GT? turbo, Toyota 86 and Suby that looks similar to the 86 (Chris was quite impressed with both) and then the 135iM, which he did about 6 laps and came in with smoking brakes. Did not see the times but judging from the speed going past the pits i would say that it was BMW quickest, Megane, Astra, Focus, and then Golf. I do not have any pics (friend took some piccies) but all will be in the Jan issue of Car (i do not work for Car)
