Hope you never take it to BMW for alignment. Take it to Tiger wheel they know their business. I was told by TWT that BMW sets the alignment in correctly and serious tyre wear occurs.

Maybe good to TWT.

BMW's are known for pulling to the left, have no idea why:hammerhead:

TWT get my vote - best overall experience, and the guys seem to know what they're doing with alignment

it has to be something they did with the alignment... try another shop
alternatively post up the numbers

There are far more "faulty" tyres coming to our shores than people care to admit.
My advice for the future is check with them when the balancing is done that the spinning on the machine is perfect.Once tyres are fitted first go for a drive DO NOT do the alignment before this first test.If the tyres are faulty this drive before the alignment will confirm.
They will insist on doing the alignment if your car does veer left and only at this stage let them do it.Drive around the block again and if still pulling insist on another batch of tyres.
Do not fall for the do a 1000km first because at that point they will not want to exchange anymore due to the tyre having worn a bit.
The other thing is the switch from left to right of the front tyres.Once again just a trip round the block.
A good tyre is perfect from the start and does not require "stories".
At the end of the day it is your hard earned money paying for the tyre so do not accept anything less than correct.

i completely agree , they have now agreed to take them off and reseat the tyres in a different position on the rim to see if it helps. other wise it will be refered to bridgestone for replacement

the alignment was only Checked and NOT Changed. was next to the car all the way

if only change was tires then it must be that... I really did not expect there to be any issues with a good brand tire but I guess general quality control must be way down :(

Hi Q (Now Tyre Mart) on Koeberg Rd Milnerton are tops at alignment.
They have got it right on my cars when no one else could.

UPdate:

tyres were taken off the rims and swopped over.
problem persists.

have an appointment with bridgestone on the 28th.

we'll see!

i'm suspecting tyre conicity ( where the steel belt isnt quite in the middle causing a inner or outer edge to be higher than the other causing the pull rather than being completely level. )

if its pulling really bad then i hope you get it sorted .
sometimes it can also the the camber of the road.

i always try to check the following when doing tyres, balancing and rotation. It helps in some cases but might not in others.

I check whether the balancing is good enough, some guys try to get it close to 0 , but not 0
Most tyres have a dot on the sidewall indicating where the valve should be situation on the rim, but some guys dont even know about it
When doing the alignment as well some guys just try to get the numbers within limit, but not realising that having both left and right within limit and slightly to the left..., will make the car pull to the left.

I am no expert though....just things i noticed over the years.

so bridgestone say it not the tyres, the checked it and gave it the OK and suggested i take it to BMW so i did. They did there fancy alignment and these were the results.
can anybody see from these reading why ITS STILL PULLING LEFT ?
BMW want it back to check suspension for issues.
Surely they test drive vehicles after the do alignment. Why didnt the pick it up and why didnt they check the suspension in the first place. just unacceptable.
