Okay so ARBEE started with his E90, thank you.
Let me go next with my F30.

So I used to drive a Golf 5 GTI (stolen at dealership) and replaced with a Golf 6 GTI, then we had a baby so I sold my GTI and Wife's Golf TDi for Toyota Prado (my off road toy but wife & kids daily drive) & I was left with my Hilux Double Cab. So I started missing my performance cars and I always had a dream since Primary school that one day I will buy a BMW and it will be an M3!!!

Anyway I really took a liking to new F30 3 series especially the blue Estoril Blue MSport. So on The 9th of July 2013 a Tuesday I placed an order at JSN for a 335i MSport with Sunroof, 19" 403 Wheels, Xenon lights, rear & side blinds and PDC with rear camera, that was my minimum requirements, so we booked a car that would be coming in September, however the next morning I get a call from my saleslady, "great news, we found you a car and it will be at the dealership within 24hours" I was a bit surprised as I wasn't ready just yet to take delivery, so I sorted out all my issues and collected the car on the Saturday. This was my 1st BMW and was a great experience.
Anyway during the week I came across the M Performance parts and that's when I also ordered the parts, which were delivered about 2 weeks after I got the car and installed at Reflex Panelbeaters in Wadeville, referred to me by JSN, they did great work.

So the extras on the car:
M Performance Black Grills
M Performance front splitter with bottom lip colour-coded
M Performance Side sills, colour-coded
M Performance sill decals
M Performance rear diffuser
M Performance bootlid spoiler, colour-coded

Then in September I came across my wheels Style 433 off the M6 Gran Coupe, unfortunately they not OEMs because they would never fit in the rear as 335's rear is a 47 offset and the M6 is 19, so it would stick out badly. Anyway I came across these 19" replicas as they were just unpacked, only problem they were a 35 offset all round, so in the front it was fine but the rear still stuck out by about 1-1.5 cm, so the rears were shaved by about 7mm and strengthened with inserts. They now sit flush with the wheel arch and are probably about a 43 offset.

In December I was looking at ordering the M Performance Power Kit (MPPK) but Parts guy warned me that there were some problems with it, I believe it's been rectified, but not sure yet apparently you can only fit it on post July 2013 builds as the Computer box has been modified (got this info off Bimmerpost) so then I thought let me get the M Performance exhaust as I wanted a throatier sound as the Akropovic exhaust is so damn expensive, I practically ordered M Performance exhaust but at the same time one had been installed at the dealership and he said it sounds the same and is a waste of money, so I left it, now I'm waiting to one day meet up with Phantom who did this mod to hear his exhaust note.

So that's my story, hope I didn't bore you, but I'm enjoying my 1st BMW and I use it as a Daily Driver.

Thanx to all the guys that have commented on the car and to Divio for taking some awesome pics of the car.

If we all say thank you for all the cars, it'll end up being a tie

I think it should be one vote (thank you) per person...

1991 BMW e34 M5

It was May 2004 and my brother stumbled across the car at our local mechanic. Took it for a test drive and we knew, we just had to have it.

So we bought her there and then and brought her home. Over the next two years she floated between my brothers house and mine. At the end of 2006 we just did not have any space to keep her, and I sold her off.

I did not know then what I know now with regards to the e34 M5, and after joining BMWFanatics in 2009, I slowly but surely realised what we had.

In 2012 the urgency to find her became too much and with the help of a mate of mine, we tracked the car down. I became friends with the owner, and went to go see the car. She was stunning. Barring a few little cosmetic things, she was exactly the way I sold her.

In 2013 he contacted me and said he is ready to sell, and am I interested. Hell yeah, and I immediately sold my e39 540i and picked my baby up in April 2013.

Fast forward one year, and I have re fitted the original turbines, resprayed the lower sills in diamond black again, and just enjoyed the car.

A few niggly things needs doing, like a new gear knob and a gear lever boot.

But for now, and while I am busy restoring the 2002, I am just enjoying the odd weekend run. Did 4 500km with her in the last year.

and her claim to fame? Original owner of this car was ex SA rally driver Serge Damseaux.

So, ladies and gentlemen, the return of Icarus.

Currently with turbines re fitted and lower sills back to original:

Light grey interior with calypso exterior makes for a nice combo:

The heart of the beast. 3.6l, 6 cylinder and 232kw later (not bad for 1991):

Ok here is mine, recently purchased and recently presented in the showroom.

Haven't had time for mods/changes etc. but the story behind this purchase goes as follows...

From when I was 11 years old, my best friend's uncle had a yellow E36 M3. He used to take the two of us to Killarney to watch the racing regularly. Weekly we also used to go race 1/24 scale slotcars at the Cambridge slotcar club in Maitland CT.

He used to drive us around in this thing, tell us about the car and give us stats and specs and explain why it was such an icon. I fell in love with the brand from then and vowed that the e36 M3 would be my first car. It gave me a passion for the M brand and what it stood for. I ended up with a citi golf as my first, but continued to lust after my ///M. When I was 18 and with my golf for a month or two, this same man purchased a e46 M and after going for a drive in that, my goal post changed... and this was going to be the car I buy one day.

My introduction to BM came when I bought my 328i individual which I kept for a year. I had to sell it as we were going to purchases a house etc. I then sat for about a year without BM and moved on to my 4 door e36 M (Kabal's current car) which I also held on to for about a year, which was sold for a further house move along with a baby.

That is where I made the decision that my next baby would be the lusted e46. I would not accept anything different. I had to wait for finances to become available again along with the correct example. Around a year after the e36 I found MEDUSA. The timing was off but I simply had to get her. She was perfect in every single way. So 15 years after my first introduction to the brand, a life long dream became reality, and I love her to bits :tease:.

You cannot beat an M car
