At the end of last year, I traded my much loved F10 M5 in on an F06 Gran Coupe 640D, a body shape I've loved since BMW launched it in 2012.
Had always lusted after an M6 GC though, in my personal opinion the prettiest BMW made since the E24/E28's of the 80's (yes I am that old).
I've really enjoyed the 640D, the level of refinement and the quality of the finishes have been astounding. But....
An option came up on a 2017 M6 GC last week that was too good to refuse. Got a decent trade on my 640D and a mint M6 GC in return. 65000kms, two years worth of MP still going strong, the optional M6 GC 20" rims that were for this specific car only, and a list of features, both additional and standard, I am still working my way through. Also in an epic colour, Silverstone.
Sad to see the 640D go, what a beautiful car, but I just couldn't help myself.
