Hard to say
Best i to get more pictures
Get the vin number and get the service history checked out with BMW
If at any time it surpasses the 45000km then you know

Looks can be deceiving no matter how good. Then again there are still genuine people out there. Try to get the VIN and have a deal run it.

I'm not buying it hey.

Personally I think it a scam. I know you can test the clocks to check what the clocks original mileage is

But a car with that kays & in that supposed condition & for that price should not have anything wrong with it & should be completely original.

Btw Anton had one with just over 100k on the clock at his shop (also dakar yellow more door) & it still smelled new inside. Ask him how neat that one was!!

You never know with cars like this.

Could be a scam or could be legit.

The clocks can be turned back.

You can confirm the mileage through the BMW MP service history

The wear on the clutch and break pedal should also give tell tale signs of how much the car has been used.

I wouldn't buy this car, just because its not 100% original and its been resprayed

:YesNo: I call it BS...45000 and those probs - why would you respray. so many of those cars had their mileage turned back - very easy

Sounds too good ...

For that price :RedNo:

There are 2 E46 M3's on AT, both with 140 000km, R200k and R209k
I would rather buy one of them!

The E46 M3 is still the meanest looking of the M3s:cartel:

Motor plan service history is start.. But for the first 5 years for the kms to half believable the must have been on 20k after 5 years.. Also RGM must have a record of kms when they did the work..

People are dumb when it comes to these cars - I once went to see a 95 M3 with supposedly 105k on the clock - I went to see the car and it looked like it did 300k also the motorplan history had services upto 90k so it did 15k in 10+ years?

Really how dumb do people think we are - kms on that car are easy to roll back also you can drive with the speedo off for 8 months drive with it on for 3 then service the car as a annual service and there you have a FSH..

Vanos noisy at 45k... Who your kidding... Sometimes with these cars you buy on condition not kms - had a friend who owned a 97 4 door drove the living God out the car day in day out - car did 170k in 14 years - no hassles and believe me he raped it good and proper.. Strong cars.... He took me for a ride in his e46 m3 01 model with 40k on the clock - I thought I was going to die... Car revd where 10 000rpm would have been put the car into 1st gear at 60kph round a corner - doughnuts around robot intersections and doing slalom runs in between under ground shopping centre columns and then getting his buds to do the same while he video taped them... I never felt so sorry for a car in my life after that ride his oil temp was approaching 140 degrees mine never went past 105 degrees...

He sold it for the V8 and got 200k as a trade in.. That poor schmuck who thought he was getting a 45k car at R280k - and the car was sold 3 weeks later..

Ok so that mileage is genuine.

The car was for sale late last year in Jhb, I had checked it out as it was a one owner car and they were asking R140 000.
It was sold the day I went to see it and had definitely had fewer niggles at the time.

there is a way you can check to see true kms...

Sounds a bit shady but could be your lucky day...

I would call rob green...

check it out take a few ouens with just in case lol

Car might have been neglected... there is a difference with someone hammering their m3 and still looking after it and then there are those that just don't care and can't drive and F-up alles.

Just my 10c as they don't make 1,2,5c anymore not sure why we have 10 and 20c either

I think the owner before him took him for a ride, and now he honestly thinks it's low milage.

There is no way i hell you need to respray a car after 45K km's, unless it has been standing in the sun all these years, but then again the leather would have similar sunburn.

The arches are flared. That necessitated a respray.

I think it looks like sh!t with those arches and silly exhausts.

The mileage is plausible.
