can shadowline trim coating be removed?

No just dont do this, it wont look good. If you dont like the trim, try remove the parts and vinyl wrap them.

If you want your car too look like redneck Billy bob's car then feel free to try take the black coating off, you'll get that lovely finish that's used on higher end electric guitars, it's called "road worn", paint half off/half on :D

@Op why don't you just get the trim wrapped in a brushed alu finish?
