Awesome, I know just what you on about.

It's a great feeling , isn't it- Handles like ago cart and fantastic brakes too.
Now, what makes this so different from your 335 cos since I joined the Forum there has been lots of talk about how the 335 ( with software of course) would kill the M3 in a straight line and I've tried to describe what you've just done on your post.

I'm pleased for you... It's an experience all M lovers must try
Thanks Jerez
335 - M3 worlds apart...M3 wins everytime for me and I have a 335.
The handling and brakes are just so much better and more accurate.
The power is more controlled but so much more enjoyable as the car gets stronger and stays strong all the way to 9000rpm.
They are just 2 very different cars but both enjoyable. I don't think I would have been so confident in the 335 on the track as I was in the M3.

If that's what it takes to prove that one has race pedigree and one doesn't - which camp do YOU belong too.

Keep the JIK ready... No foul mouths please

And if anyone talks about remapped 335s, then I want a blower on mine-- modified forced induction against modified forced induction-- that's the fairest way... Isn't it?

Iv said this before and I'll say it again, the e9x is a great M car but it lacks BMW turbo power....

Ok, let's introduce Manharts turbo e92 into this thread if you're wanting turbo power.
700ish bhp... Yeeeeha

This has been done to death. I don't think you have to prove anything about ///M cars to anybody. Everyone knows ///M has the Motorsport credentials, but not everyone wants an ///M3. Some want a 335 for the tuneability. Some want more torque lower down. Some don't track their cars. For some it is a cost issue, for some not at all.

I belong to the "buy whatever suits your purpose and tickles your fancy" camp

Ahhh...So, is that like saying that some would prefer the e46 330d over the e46 M3

I would sell my E46 330i for an E90 330d now if I wasn't going to drop money on a house. It just suits my purposes better, based on the type of driving I do, even though my next step up would have been an E46 ///M3.

So yes, some people do prefer other cars and don't see ///M's as the be-all and end all of BMW's range. Some people do more outdoorsy stuff and would prefer an X5, or some tow a trailer. Some need easier ingress for more than two occupants and want a 4 door car, or some don't need 4 seats and want a classic roadster type car, enter a Z.

I'm sure I dont' have to explain the merits of personal preference, and the wide range of cars BMW offers. Otherwise they'd only build ///M cars if that was all that anybody wanted to buy.

Not being anti-Jerez here, jussayin' :=):

Not sure what the point of this thread is....??????

As v1p3r said, the M3 is not for everyone, at altitude the x35 has its advantages, it also has that Sleeper look which some people prefer....

If you want acknowledgement from x35 owners on this forum that the M3 is superior.... there you go... M3 is boss! hope you sleep better tonight...:blab:

Stupid thread... yet again

REMEMBER ,this about the sensation the M stirs. This is not about which is better cos we already know that.
The initial comments are from a 335 driver.

I'm pretty sure a couple 335i's on the forum stir the sensations plenty. I'll leave it to them to "ry you bang"
