so we can safely use the average mileage calculator of 20 000 a year, sometimes its standing and lets say, the local family holiday, I would say I would stick to my 250 000km..

I guess, based on vanos and gerbox oil change, the engine to be a well-maintained high miler, give or take 20k either side of 500?
Or a poorly maintained low miler.
Put me down for 385000.
Then again, I could be a Nicbyte lol.

Im leaning toward the 285 000km mark, and they were probably not swopping oil out as they should have.

Failing that, my second guess would be over 500k.

On the one hand it could be 950 000km.

Or it may be a newish engine that has never had an oil change at say 95 000km. I am going with that.

normally a missed oil change will cause sludge... varnish like this points to high mileage or bad quality oil being used

the engine has a tick lets hope that its not that serious when Peter finds it
