Good evening to every one ,i have a 325i 2001 e46, and am having some serioud prolems with it. i drive it in the morning , noproblem , then after about 3 hours (this does very) it starts to missfire, cuts out, wont start , sounds like its running on 3 cyliders, next morning all good , then the same happens.ive been told to replace the camshaft sensor intake, camshaft sensor exhaust, as well as the crank sensor, all these at once, seems like a lot of things for one fault.pls can someone help

Moved to correct section.

Could be crank position sensor. Might even be dodgy wiring. Check all the wiring connections and plugs. It does sound like a dodgy sensor though.

An OBD reader will tell you exactly which of the sensors are bad. Just have the cars fault log pulled.

my money would be on a coolant temperature sensor thats on its way out but the best thing to do is have the codes read
