Good Day Gents & Ladies

I need some help please.
I have a annoying buzz from inside the vehicle, as soon as i start it.
Doesnt matter if radio is on or off, you can still hear that.

Car was dropped at BMW for service so i asked them to check it up.
All fuses were disconnected, and they could still hear the buzz.

So they told met has to be the tracker. Which is even more strange because my vehicle does not have a tracker installed!!:argh:
They went on to tell me only option is to strip the dash board, radio, gear level housing and check internally:cry:
Now i dont want them to strip, im really scared of car starting to rattle, what shall i do??

Can you tell whether the buzzing comes from the speakers? Isn't exhaust noise being pumped through the speakers in the newer, higher end BMW's nowadays?? That might explain why you hear buzzing even when the radio is off? I've heard the M5 has that, not sure about the x35's.

Only F10 M5 and F2x M135i AFAIK. :dunno:

That buzz sounds like the HPFP. It normally comes on when the car doors are opened...in your case it does not shut down when it should...just a possible scenario.

I had what sounds to be the same issue a few weeks back. Whether the radio was on or not there was feedback coming from the speakers. I took the car (135i) to bmw and they removed the radio and sent it in and was told the radio was faulty. They subsequently replaced the radio and problem solved. Hope this helps

Howzit guys, just some feedback. I didnt allow them to strip the radio as i was to scared. So yes the buzzing noise is stil there but it comes and goes. And with the radio on i cannot hear anything, so im not going to bother unless it becomes very distinct.

I got home and found a radio on the floor:fencelook:But its not from my car because around the volume bottom mine is silver and this is plain black. Looks like from an e90( mother has a e90 so i know what it looks like).
So now i have a spare radio lying in my boot:rollsmile:

Will this radio have any value if i sell?

When they removed my radio there was no damage done so don't think you need to worry. There's just the plugs that fit into the radio that you will see. It definitely made a big difference for me as the feedback started getting louder with time considering I was driving with the feedback for a good few weeks.
