eBay you take your chances unless they have very good buyer references.
the problem come with postal service, they useless here, or it costs too much and its not worth it anymore, so the best option would to buy from one of the local guys unless its not available.

I have never had problems buying on eBay. I have used them plenty of times.
Just try and make use of Fedex or a courier and not USPS as they work through the SA Postal services that is permanently on strike. It is also nice if you can get eBay to add your custom charges up front. That way you do not get any surprises when collecting your parcel as customs tend to overcharge in many instances.

If you buy, its all good.

But do pay extra for decent shipping with DHL or somebody, even if you pay the same or more for shipping as what you do for the product, it is worth it.

I have had now 4 x 2k orders just "dissappear" en route..

He's worried about fitment and quality not his parcel arriving. And it all depends on the seller. There is alot of low quality products on ebay. So you'll have to read their reviews which has been said.

And it really doesn't matter what method of shipping you use. If it doesn't arrive you'll get paid out by eBay. It may only take longer for standard shipping

If you can find local, I would recommend purchasing local. I've had bad experiences in the past, not with the seller, or shipping company... but with the administration this side.
