Buying a turbo diesel

The 320d is the kakst kar bmw has ever designed ive got 1 and its give me shit . in the last year i spend more than 20000 and still not running. a turbo for 320d is 6000 and im putting the 4 1 in, in a year, as soon as the car drives im selling it

4 in 1 year? has it ever occured to you that you might have a kak mechanic, or that something else might be wrong?

as for selling it, yeah maybe you would be better off with a golf

diesel never again. golf 5 tdi new turbo at 111000km,turbo started making noises again at 153000km,sold it and bought a bm.
also cost more to service,air filter oil filter oil pollen filter and diesel filter R4000.
parts at vw for turbo R37000

So basically, if you buy a diesel car and you are out of a motor plan then it would be a good idea to get a 3rd-party maintenance plan ?

Or save 10k put it into an account, and have a decent mechanic...

Yes but if buying a diesel means frequent break downs, or replacing of parts then it doesn't matter what mechanic you have, you still have to buy the parts. So perhaps investing some money into a maintenance plan would be a good thing.

That's the thing, it does NOT mean that, especially on the 3.0d.

I drive a e90 320d that has almost 200 000km on it.... must say i am very impressed by it, have it since it had 85000km on it and has never given me any major problems.....

Maintenance plans suck, and most don't pay a third of the component costs for diesels... Don't waste your money. Ask Tumo how much his maintenance plan helped. He had to use a more expensive mechanic because of this plan, and they did not even pay the difference, and the mechanics lack of know-how cost him even more money...
