Busy building another 2 garages and workshop area, have already added:
- pit to get under the car, mayor digging, but think its worth it
- added connection points for the compressor hoses all over

Any other ideas suggestions? Can not add a hoist due to roof contsrains...........

What else can I add, any ideas?

Well I would say make sure you have lots of lighting, it really irritates me that our garage is so dark, makes it really hard to work as you always need lots od extra light.

Maybe an area with drainage for water if you need clean a car or under a car and it is not possible to do it outside.

Lots of power outlets

There going to be a pit in both the garages? Was thinking of drainage if one of them does not have a pit.

Though in a pit it would also be nice, would make it really nice to was the underside or a car. Could use a pump to get rid of the water...

A stripper pole, a stripper, and a kitchen...

Word of the wise, do not let the wife take "a tiny corner for her washing machine and laundry", you will regret it.

Other then that, a basin large enough to wash parts in, with cold/hot running water.

I shall even do the plumbing for you :)

I have a channel running down the centre to a low point for a submersible pump, that way I can pump the water out afterwards. Oh and build fluorescent lights into the walls of the pit along with a plug point inside the pit. For the frame around the pit I have angle iron concreted around the edge, when the pit is not in use I have strong steel grating that covers it so nothing/no-one falls in. When the grating sections are fitted its level with the garage floor, wish I had some pics to show you what I mean, will get some pics soon.

Can't wait for the 2post lift and tool shed to store the car parts that are taking up way too much space in the garage at the moment.

garages are single back to front, so 3.5m x 12m with a workshop section of 3m x 4m at the top on the right hand side

ok, that could work....the channel in the middel and then pump out

need to make provision for a pipe....

water no problem, cold yes, warm a challenge, no geyser in range, garage is around 30m from house

but yes tap and wash basin a must agree

A nice big extractor fan in there for removing fumes of running engines, fuel, charging batteries, welding etc

good point Rick540.......will post pics tomorrow, its already dark now....

also not convinced on the effort to get water into and out of the pit, if I can spray of my cars on a ramp outside with a pressure cleaner......without being underneath and getting wet

hahaha gas or doneky, nah will walk 30m to house, have a hot /cold wash basin there
