Dude, I see your point, but its not the case. We ask the valid questions. Sometimes the question may come across as being offensive, but nobody intentionally tries to offend the newbies.

its not cool to join a forum and start badmouthing those who do respond to your thread. its better to get some responses than none at all.

Its also not just this dude. of recent, the newbies have been full of kak. They dont even introduce themselves, and start kak with those who do want to try and help, or at least provide some response to their problems.

LoL Dude!!!

I wish we did get the 330d Coupe in SA though :( I would love to know why BMW give certain countries certain cars though, its depressing that some countries get a raw deal!

That's actually not a bad theory, No wonder people are becoming reluctant to reply on new threads. We end up defending and fighting instead of adding value and knowledge. (I can't really say we as I prefer staying uninvolved in the crossfire)

Let's keep it simple. I for one don't reply on new threads often, if at all. For this exact reason. So it only sounds fair to ask for an intro to break the ice and set the mood.

It is the case whether the questions were valid or not. Look at it from the other side. He won't know if what you post is indented to be offensive or not and will obviously assume it is... like anyone would when in new surroundings (virtual or otherwise) and not knowing how things work.

Of course it's not cool to join and start bad mouthing left and right, but that's not what happened here. Not saying he was in the right, but one can understand why. I believe both "sides" carry quilt... takes two to tango.

Introductions isn't a must/rule. If it was we would setup the forum to only allow access to the New Members section until at least 1 post was made in that section. Apart from situations like this one, the Newbies haven't seemed all that aggressive to me and if they are for no apparent reason, you can always report the post. We get a nice red alert message on every page every time a post is reported.

Let's move on :thumb:
