I have decided to change the focus on the car somewhat. After spending a couple hours with the boys from Maclaren and Aston Martin at Kayalami yesterday, I want to change the dynamics from 1/4 mile to tracking the car, almost returning the car to its intended purpose. (RB's will stay :rollsmile
Just some background, up until Friday afternoon and friend and I was still waiting on the nod if we could actually get into the event as it was purely for the Aston and Maclaren crowd, fortunately we did.
First thing was to try get a set of semi's. After a few calls to forum members and a few retailers managed to get a set of Yoki's (265/35/19 and 245/45/19) also managed to dial in some negative camber of the rears and most importantly the front.
I changed the car mapping to a more linear power delivery, as I had no intention to try break records but rather just enjoy the day. Man oh Man, what a day! Let's just say this is something I'm really enjoying! manged a good 20/25 laps. The car held its own and even had a few Aston's making way :=):. Brakes were reasonable, it did suffer some fade towards the end and I make the rookie mistake a few time of pulling up the handbrake when I stop... This is a learning experience for me
I've managed to land a new suspension i.e KW Variant 3, some braided brake lines and hoping to get some new pads this week. Call it baby steps :=): No intention of stripping out the car, but I do see a set of BMW Performance seats in the not to distance further. Track racing seriously chews in your pocket and with other business priorities, this is definitely not going to be a big bang approach.
Stay tune for some pictures and dodgy vid's.

time to update this thread
Saying that you need to update is not an update. Posting pics and step by step upgrades is an update.
Rowen, you have a go pro, an expensive camera and the talent to use it, yet, we see no pics or videos. Negative rep points bud, negative!
Devon, noobs of today, have to be spoon fed.
You know, I don't know what it is these days. They have all the facilities, all the talent all the damn time and yet this is the response we get!?
I think he's been polishing his pipes too much if you know what I mean...
Tisk Tisk.
From his posts in my Showroom thread, it looks like hes been polishing other oaks pipes... :fishwack:
