Very very nice gents. I've got some AF illusion here to try out.

Fuzz, how would you compare the Black Fire diamond against the AF Illusions wax? I know the one is a sealer and the other a wax, but in terms of the 'wet' look?

Hey bro, my suggestion is apply the Black Fire Wet Diamond, let it cure then top it with Illusion.

This is what we got when we used that exact combo:

Individually they work great, but as a combo they're fantastic! That being said, the lasting power on the Illusion isn't that great, so you would need frequent top ups

Here's the thread:

Round one, the 1M wore some illusion, round two saw the 1M wearing passion

Thanks bud, I'll give it a go for sure! I was initially thinking of going with AF Powerseal and then Blackfire, but I'll experiment a little based on the above.

Check my M3 thread, I've managed to get all the scratches out of the boot and the Jerez is now looking very very good. I used the S3 and Spiderpad on your recommendation and the results are astounding!!

Anyway, sorry for the derail Gav :)

No problem at all, after chatting to you at Zambezi and reading your threads I can only assume that your attention and precision with this stuff would be beneficial for all to read... Hope your wife is ready for another 2 days away in the man cave :praise:

Hehe, since I've found this place, my missus hates all of BMW collectively. So much so that she now doesn't want an X3 but insists on keeping her Q5. I think that's her way of trying to piss me off :roflol:

But thanks, although I have a looooot to learn when it comes to making these cars pretty.

Awesome work Fuzz, love that 50/50 on the bumper, S17 finishes amazingly well.

We did a Red 8V S3 last week also topped with AF Illusion and the results were stunning!

Well done!

I've been slacking on keeping up with threads, so I'll give it a look for sure!!!

Also the power seal is fantastic stuff, as well as the Black Fire - though I wouldn't really apply one sealant over a different as you might find bonding issues.

That being said I'm a huge fan of both sealants, just that for my own car I chose the Power Seal route as it is easier to maintain and top up using Auto Finesse Top Coat

Shot bro!

There's a reason why Auto Finesse Illusion was voted as the wax of the year in 2015 :bravo:
