if i sell them ill have to add my labour cost :( It maybe a quick job then it will be worth it.
otherwise it could end up being the same price as the Umnitza ones so unless you looking for something custom that you cant buy it would be better to go with Umnitza

Hey guys! When it comes to angel eyes for the e46 I have literaly tried everything and in my opinion the only angel eyes that work are the type which has LED's and has LOTS of them! Im now at my third or fourth set and they are perfect, I have had two/three sets of fluorescent ones and they are all basically rubbish. All of mine the ballasts broke or in some cases exploded and when it is really cold they struggle to start up and you have to turn them on a couple of times before they work. Here are a couple of photos of the LED ones on my car and they cost me $130.00 which is roughly R1100 and that including shipping from the US.

This is what they look like in daylight:

And when its getting dark:

Also what makes the ones I have cool is that you can connect them to your park lights if you want or you can connect them to the ECU so that they go on automaticaly when you turn the key to the second position and they also have an option that they go on for a few seconds when you unlock the car as is the case with the car's interior lights.

Finally they are much much brighter in the day than the fluorescent ones and they don't have the 2 ballast that gets hot and takes up a lot of space.
So if I were you I would rather go for the LED ones and get it done properly the first time :)

Yip... that's standard with EAS's systems and the Umnitza one's I have... also Mycarr does that but the other 2 are better...

I'd say in order (having also tried loads)

1. Umnitza
2. EAS
3. Mycarr

Yeah mine is a Weisslicht one.

Oh and the Umnitza ones use 60 LEDs where mine uses 82 LEDs per ring:)

R1100 is reasonable i cant justify paying 3k for some plastic rings with lights in them...
ive also read about the ballasts failing because of overheating on fluorescent type and it does put me off them...

if i can get decent led ones for R1100 its not worth me trying some DIY thing if you factor in that materials will cost about R500 then ill have to spend an afternoon making the rings and getting the fit and finish right...after that ill have to work out the wiring and with all that im taking the chance it may fail in a short space of time and ill have to replace the electronics...

I think ill take matt up on his offer and get some Umnitza prices now that Ive weighed up the options
so it looks like ill Leave the back yard for growing vegetables on this one...

Cool.. thanks Dude... didn't know about those.. busy checkin out their site now....

Wow... crappy site... can't find anything.. where did you order them from?

EDIT - I see they are available from JSLEVI.com.. but only find replacement for bulb in OEM eyes.. not new rings??

2nd EDIT - Here is another price on the rings from Bimmian - http://www.bimmian.com/46/PHO (but it's not 82 LED's it's 66 or 74)

Why don't you pm [email protected]'ll hook you up!
I'm running my daylight running lights on in all the pics.

Looks awsome!:)

Problem is your car already has angel eyes so you just change the yellow bulb to a white/blue one. Moranor's car will need a complete set of angel eyes not just a new bulb.
