Brakes and Brake Discs = Utter frustration!

So I recently got my E87 120i 2005 and a friend of mine (BMW Mechanic), checked my car and said I need to replace my brakes and brake discs. Considering my car is off MP, I don't know what brand of brakes and discs i should buy.

I went and found that goldwagen sells Febi which sqeaks and I have been advised that Ferodo does the same. Could I get some suggestions as to which brand works best?

Or should I just fit Power brakes?

Power brakes are apparently good.

Textar is oem and can be had from moranor@axis on the forum.

Disks, I'm not sure I fitted Meyle disks. Its a pitty we dont get the meyle platinum disks in this country. We seem to get all the kak.
