I got a quote for rotors and pads @ 3k for mine from powerbrake.

I have parked her off until I can get that valve body in the box sorted out and the car serviced properly, then I am going to do them.

WIll let you know when I order and put them, will let you know what are the results, if you do sooner, drop me a not

Power brake do not do back rotors. spending big bucks on your back brakes is a bit pointless, as most of your braking power comes from the front. Cross drilled rotors eat brake pads btw ;)

OOps, did not see the back brakes part, and I agree with freerider.

I have a contact in the South with decent prices, quote is laying on my table @ the office for the rears, but they were not that expensive

The thing I hat a bout cross drilled rotors is that every time you step on the stop pedal, it feels like you have brake shudder.

Dont go to BMW. Go to a car parts shop and ask for the rear brake discs on a 540I made by ATE. ATE is the OE of the car. Should be about R800 for a pair as the front discs on my 525I were about R1100.

jees dude, how many times have you had to do brakes in 12k kms?

Just once...but being as no one except BMW seems to make the damn things, I have had to get both front and rear discs + pads from BMW!
