...bought a few things...!

Wsup,

Bought a few things and I'm looking for reputable places to fit, would appreciate everyone's advice.

Brakes
Powerbrake GT series upgrade kit (front) - Slotted discs & pads
OEM (rear) - discs & pads

I suppose anyone can fit but can anyone do a system flush and maybe identify any potential issues? What about brake fluid (brand/spec).

Steering

OEM steering lower-joint assembly
OEM tierods (left/right)
OEM steering boots
ZF steering rack

ZF say they can fit and flush the system but I wonder if they can fit ALL the steering related parts not just the rack. Can anyone one point me to a better option if there is or am I safe in their hands?

If I have any cash left after labour-costs I might want to squeeze in a de-cat, is there any difference between Powerflow, TNT etc? I'll be in the Pretoria/Midrand area next week.

Thanks in advance

Shot

It's funny you should say better parts though, there's a spares shop here called Better Parts that supplies, er, "better parts" :fencelook: when I was fixing up my E39 they quoted me R450-00 for a water pump (with the non-plastic rotor)...I put it down and slowly walked out of there

Interestingly though the owner has owned a Black Series Merc, an R34 GTR, and a ludicrously souped up Celica (among many others) so I think his business is doing just fine without me

Remember that steering rack is a reconditioned unit from ZF, the stealers quoted me R8,600 and apparently that is also a reconditioned unit...

I still cant believe you got such a good price on the GT kit... they quoted me:
R4807.38 for the disks and some Endless ME20 pads maybe the price has come down alot...

what pads did they give you?

no such thing as GT2 pads :fencelook: powerbrake use alot of different pads on the GT kit depending on what you using the car for :)

if you have the kit already have a look at what pads they gave you...
