Bodyshop Recommendations?

As the title suggests, my front bumper is in need of a respray.

A forum member recommened Artistic AutoBody, they seem excellent but the problem is they are based in Pretoria.

Can anyone recommend a "Excellent" bodyshop in the JHB area, preferably in the Sandton/Wynberg district. Workmanship needs to be top notch. If not, then I guess off to Pretoria I go... :)

TIA.

Thanx to the guys who responded.

I just got a quote from BB Cars, R3000... Seems a bit steep just for a bumper respray? :mmm:

Will get one tomorrow from Auto Body Solutions.

Maybe a lil bit of that.

Look, going base rate in the industry is about 1k a panel at cost, so if your paying 1,500 to 1800 your doing well.

Considering its a very rare color (ie not white), its an expensive car, and the owner is bound to be full of shit, 2,300 to 2,500 is about going market.

Seeing though your having it done by an absolute pro, well 3k is not far off.

See at 1,800 or so, if they dont blend the paint PERFECTLY, guess what you live with it, at 3k they will strip it and do it again, and again, and again...

You really get what you pay for.

I can recommend Roberto from ROberto's autobody, south of JHB, decent guy, and he is going to be R2300 to 2500ish..

BB Cars does tend to be a touch pricey, probably due to them being approved by several manufacturers. My sister just had her Audi done there, very good work but quite expensive.

Dont think it worth it to use them for just a bumper respray, you could get it done professionally for less.
