Is there any interest in closing off the year with a charity run?

I am thinking of 9 December 2012.

We choose a small charity, perhaps in Paarl. From Paarl we do Hells Hoogte and perhaps take the back pass after the Franschoek Museum...Then we (picnic) somewhere after the pass with the Mountains as a backdrop.

Can this work?

Since Automobil Concierge enjoys giving back to the community, we will officially host this run and try gain a larger audience to give to communities in need.

Date: 16th December 2012

I will start the process, chat to Franshhoek Motor Museum and conclude the booking as well as invite dealers and local business's to take part.

Its not too late, lets do this! Will drop you a PM Charles to co-ordinate the event alongside BMW Fanatics.

Hi Mike.
Thanks for the offer but it has to be a fanatics forum charity lead run, like we did it last year. The sponsors are welcome to donate toys and stuff...All sponsors will be acknowledge (like we always do). But we want to organise this under the fanatics banner.

We need to agree on a date:

I think 16th maybe more suitable.
Lets make a final decision on the date tomorrow and then run a list of who will attend and get some commitment on toys...for the kids.

In the interim i will find out about a small charity for kids in the Paarl or Stellenbosch area...(on route)

There are a couple of charities in Stellenbosch. The most appropriate charity that deals with orphaned/abused kids are in Khayamandi...but the problem is parking space for our cars...still exploring options :thumbs:
