Good Evening Everyone!
I'm sure most of you know that myself, Firi and Divio have been coordinating the GP Events for some time now. And we hope that we've been able to bring you events that were enjoyable and to give our online community a chance to interact in person!
We feel it is now time to add some new blood to the team with fresh ideas, mindsets and skills to take the events forward into the coming years...
In the coming months we will oversee proceedings before handing over to the new team. This is by no means goodbye from us 3 as we will always be at events and willing to lend a hand at any time! BMWFanatics For Life!!! :smilebounce:
I would like to say thank you to the volunteers for stepping up to the plate and I wish you guys all the success in the future. So join me in giving a warm welcome to the team! And also a few words from the guys themselves :bravo:

Sherwyn a.k.a @BeemerFanatic
I’m Sherwyn. Goes without saying I’m a car crazy petrol head.
Loved BMWs since seeing my primary school friend getting dropped off at school in his Dads E30 325i. Always loved the M3 but could never afford one so when I actually could buy my own cars I bought many Vag cars.
My dad is a BMW fan and has his E46 since 2003. I stayed away from buying a BMW but after test driving a 335i F30 I knew I had to have one even though it wasn’t an M. So in 2014 I got my car. Looked very basic but loved the power. Been modifying a little bit at the time and totally addicted to the forum. Even read the forum on my ipad in the toilet daily. I love the atmosphere and the knowledge, the info and learning knew things all the time. I wish I had money to buy everything that’s sold on the forum. My car is something that I spend time on, that gives me calmness, peacefulness and so much joy.
I still haven’t detailed it so a bit embarrassed on the paint condition compared to the clean cars on the forum. I wash my car myself and hate driving a dirty car.
I have 2 kids who really feed the carpets and constantly mess but heck kids must be kids and cars are meant to be used for the family. I don’t mind my wife leaving her make up in the car or driving the car every now and then but she hates driving with me as the passenger cos I keep saying watch that pothole or be careful. Anyway hope to keep the F30 forever and just keep enjoying it. I can talk forever here, let me add the pics and stop talking. Also I work in IT. Bit of a vague topic but doing it for almost 2 decades and love that also and love having fun, listening to music, eating food. Who doesn’t .
Current drive: F30 335i

Here is a short intro about myself,
First car:
So I have been living in Johannesburg from 2006, Liked bm ever since my cousin bought his E30 325i in Henna Red years ago. (Would not mind that as my second car if a clean one comes along, simply Love it!)
Once I finished school, I started an Internship in IT earning a stipe so buying a car was not an option at the time. A few months later I found out that I will need to support a client based in Benoni which was then a problem with travelling as I stay near Edenvale. I needed a car instantly. An E30 323i at the time was selling for 30k! (Imagine) – It was gold in colour, 160k KM with partial service history and 2 doors. I immediately wanted the car, I was spoken out of buying that car though due to maintenance being higher, Petrol costs as it is a 6 cylinder, etc. I than opted for a 2000 Polo Playa, and till today I regret not taking that E30. (A guy I knew bought the car and sold it for R58k a week later.)
I cannot say I did not enjoy the Polo as it was my very first car. I guess I will always have a place in my heart for it. It did give me a lot of hassle though.
How BMW came into my life:
So after finding a decent job, One day at work I decided to put my polo up for sale. Within 2 hours a guy called me and the car was sold. He fetched it in the afternoon when I got home.
Once the car left, I went into my room and realized - Shit, I have no car. I sold the car without searching for any car or having any car in mind. It got sold so fast that I had no time to even shop around, I didn’t even think about it, I literally just woke up one day and sold it.
The fun began when I started looking for a car though. I looked for an E30, Found a few but it did not catch my attention, I then saw an E36 328i vert that caught my attention but it was overly priced for the specs and mileage. I then saw an Immaculate E36 M3 in Red. I wanted it immediately however it was sold, That car was immaculate! I just missed it.
One thing I noticed was when I look for something, it is difficult but once I settle for something I find a ton available on the internet. Anyway – The hunt went on, after getting tired of searching I looked at other brand cars but it did not interest me enough. I reconsidered the E36 328i vert but I knew it was not worth it at the time.
Finally the E46 330i Msport caught my eye, The same dealer that had the E36 M3. So, I had two choices, The E36 vert or the E46 330i, I chose the E46 330i based on it been more practical, more space, faster, newer model compared to the E36 and even slightly cheaper.
That is basically a summarized story of how my BMW affair started. This happened suddenly and unexpectedly. I always liked the brand, I always said that one day I would drive BMW but I didn’t expect it to happen so soon, but it did and ever since then I enjoy the car, I learnt a lot and with gods grace I hope to stick with the Brand.
There is so many beamers I like, I just want them all!

Jody Daniels , Born in Durban and currently living in Johannesburg for the last 9 years
My passion for the brand like most started when I was around 10 years old when a family friend had a Boston green 328i motorsport E36 , since then I have been in love with the E36 range and have since owned 2
Once I had stared working I saved up and bought myself a techno violet blue E36 318is which was an amazing car that got me everywhere I needed for a starter car , some time had passed 4 years and it was time we’re I was in crying for more power and entered one of the most amazing cars I have owned to date a Daytona violet E36 328i with a lots of extras and I loved that car every day that i jumped in and went for a drive
Like most I made the mistake of parting with the E36 and entered the E90
Currently I am driving an 2012 E90 320D Msport stock for now but I can’t wait like most of us to start with the mod list , I experienced some amazing Diesel machines back in 2014/2015 which made me consider buying a Diesel, honestly I don’t think I will go back to petrol except once I have reached one of my dreams and own another E36 but this time an M3
Current drive: E90 320d
