Hi All

For all those who are classic lovers or been following my posts on the restoration project, here are pictures of the result. R150k later and approximatley 3000hrs.

To all those who have helped in any way,THANKS :thumbs:

Now my next project is a toss up between a 1600, 2002ti or another 530MLE in this case a race car replica!!

530 race car -there is enough info available , Eddie Keizan and the guys should be helpful here . Unmolested body may be rare .
I have a 530 poster from Wiel magazine late 1970's -its about 840mm x 600 mm have never put it on a wall-prestik leaves marks later .

Thanks to all for the compliments..glad it turned out ok. 4 years of hard labour.

My above cars vin is 770021, recently I bought another 530MLE wreck with genuine 26000km albeit very complete which is number 22..so very rare to own 2 consecutive cars from a production line. This will become the replica race car, although from an original 530MLE car. Car has some extra interesting bits. 535iM head, 3.5l block (635 or 735), 3 x double barrel side draught webers (48mm), K&N filter system, proffesional intake manifold, race banana branch exhaust (looks Like a Lourens Exhaust or Alpina) and Richie Jute performance cams and valves. LS diff with seperate oil feeder/tank and full water filters and elec pumps for fuel supply to webbers. Original M1/M5 racing steering wheel. Speedo clocks are modified to show 300km top end and if Richie Jute built this motor its going to be fast ..very fast. Will be complete with roll cage, race seats, wide flares and original Salora and Castrol Decals.
