2 x e60 Msport 530d's. No issues on either - first one 116k kms 2006, second one 2009 LCI now on 192k kms

2 x e46 300i Individuals, No issues 2001 LCI manual 80k kms and second one 2002 LCI auto 300k kms (valve cover gasket only)

1 x e46 328i auto 1999. no issues 70k kms

1 x e39 528i 1998 - no issues 165k kms until engine was cleaned - blew the Ecu and electronics - so not a mechanical failure - more stupidity!

1 x e39 M5 2001 - no issues until clutch failure at 120k kms (slogging it out in 1st and 2nd gear traffic daily) repaired at a whopping cost at BMW, only to start failing again 3 weeks later!

2 x e46 320d's 1 manual, 1 auto - no issues other than the manual being written off by the then mrs :=):

Only issues have been after services at BMW (various dealers) for crappy workmanship related things (binding brakes, loose covers etc!!!!

But the X1 i got has been driven as it was a company car and you know how ppl can be when they drive the company car.

But maybe the Vote selection should be updated - I dont see any X1 / X3 on there as well and i am sure many person has the X3

I’d rather split it between engine models (M47, N47, M57, N57 etc.) ,because there is little to no point in distinguishing between the different car models when the mechanical components are the same.

also with regards to this statement - i think there is a thread about this - but someone said to me that when you read up about the timing chain story failure it mainly happens over seas - could be allot to do with temp/ conditions maybe that creates that problem and that very few if any ppl in our surroundings has those prolbems

But that is just hear say on my side and an opinion of another person.

Bought a 07 320d having issues with Serpentine belts snapping. Currently the idler pulley bolt snapped off. Seen recalls in North America anyone experienced the same issue?
