What kinds of bad things? They have their issues, though I can't think of a car that doesn't.

Best would be to search second hand car places and sites like gumtree and junkmail.

Any reason you are specifically interested in the ti?

the 318ti seems to be more problematic than the 325ti.

I have head of lots of 318ti`s with oil leaks and the motors seem to be far more complicated than they really need to be on the electronics side of things and can be a real nightmare to sort out if something goes wrong.

Get a 325ti if you are going to get one otherwise get a low mileage 318ti

Get a 325ti if you are going to get one otherwise get a low mileage 318ti/ the N42 or N46 engine is prone to oil leaks, my friend just bought an e92 320i (///M Package) and after having it for a few days we popped the hood and BOOM oil leak :nonono:
