:argh:

They have to investigate :bangdesk:
They all could see the colours not matching but wont saying much, have to look with build and job card on this car from Germany etc to see if its correct etc etc.

Said this car is not manufactured locally a whole process to follow, etc etc.

Time to start creating some video clips and more pictures and sound clips on the defects. Any helpers.

Vehicles coming out of the Rosslyn plant used to be very much liked overseas but have heard of lotsa stories of bad quality cars coming through now too,

But its not only Rosslyn, its the German and other plants too if you do research, there are stories of rusted seat frames in new F30s and also other stories

So this 1 comment i got...

The metal and plastics wont match :blab: ...

So wth he is saying??? This is BMWs new standards maybe :argh:
Who will want to buy a bmw with these standards too..

- There's no M footrest.
- In Sports mode the sports option doesn't appear on idrive as stated.
- M Performance is not displayed when you enter the car.
- Car has Bridgestone not the performance tyres :bangdesk:

If the SA spec doesn't come with these, it need to be stated clearly and even on their website... The car is marketed with the above stated even on the M Power site where a BMW guys presents the car and its features...

There also F30 MSport, that have M footrest and others that don't... It should have it as standard with the MSport pack? F30 owners go check n report it, unless SA spec comes with fewer features.

Im waiting the investigation out come and their meetings... before i start posting pictures and video...

Those around Midrand are welcome to have a look at the car.

Anyone know the CEO , have his contact details etc?
I wanna ask him if this is BMWs new standard and if he would accept the car as is knowing its brand new :argh::argh:

What f21 do you have?

What colour?

Did you not see these defects before taking delivery and signing?

sorry to hear

hope they sort everything out,or they are gonna lose alot of customers.

cant comment on the quality,as before this car i had vw and ford, personally will buy a ford before a vw,as the vw quality starts to show after100 000km,rattles and peeling plastics, and faulty turbos going every 30 000 to 40 000 km,etc

the fiesta i drove, had better finish than a new polo, but after sales, servicing department sucked.

so far happy with my e90,and since out of m/p seems to be getting better:rollsmile:

Hmmm. Taking delivery of a new car is a very emotional experience and the dealerships know this. They often show you the car from a distance on the floor and then take you away to an office to get the "paperwork" sorted, and only once this is done do they take you to the car. Then it is too late. Everything has been signed.

And why should one have to inspect a brand new car? It should be in a condition that doesn't need inspection and the dealership should have picked up any issues when they did the PDI. :mmm:

I would love to know which dealership this car has been bought from.

I'm guessing it's a new F21 M135i in Estoril Blue.

Interesting 1st post.

I'm not gonna blame anyone or give out names..
I'm awaiting BMW SA feedback.

You welcome to come see the car, its not what u expect from a new car.
Some things are only noticed when you starting driving the car.

Why couldn't BMW Germany, BMW SA or the dealerships pick this up? How did the car pass QA test?
Is this the new BMW standard?

Its easy to blame the customer its their fault :fencelook:

Please go and read the CPA act.

This is shocking. A friend of a friend is also having a lot if quality issues with his brand new 320d.

1. Tail light fell out for no apparent reason.
2. Paint on rear bumper is starting to lift.
3. As car heats up, dash starts to rattle.

I had my eyes set on the new 330d, but I'm not so sure after all these quality complaints.

They are talking utter bollocks about colour not matching from metal to plastic.
If you can see it with the naked eye, then there is a problem.

My experience with BMW on these things is that they will do nothing unless you throw all your toys violently. Sad as it is, thats what you will have to do.

Dont be skrik, show them how our "circle is beeger" and expose them on forums. When they understand that you will not shut up and accept it, is the only time, any action will get taken. There was another forumite who complained on an F20 here as well, and it took him approximately 5 weeks to get it sorted, even theough the brand new cars' paint was clearly defective with swirls, deep scratches, misaligned panels etc.

On a brand new car purchase like this, the CPA is in your favour, use it. BMW management are a bunch of useless 'cant-care-less" fools in my opinion and you should not be too lax with them, or they will eat you for lunch.

Undoubtedly, they will tell you they have to investigate, if they outright stated that the car was shyte, that would be a blatant admission that they sold you a defective product, which they obviously cant do.

Let them investigate, but make sure they understand that you want it sorted out asap or else...

Many guys on the forum here have had trouble with BMW Sa not repairing properly, not ordering/ fitting the right parts, saying things were fixed/when they were not etc, so dont play. Dalla them. If you dont know what that means, ask other chaarous on the forum.

The thing about this type of thing that always grinds my gearbox, is the fact that the dealership should have picked up this crap and never shunted the car to you. but they didnt. and now, they tell YOu, the customer to fight the fight with BMW SA, saying things like, its out of our hands, we agree with you, let us know what we can do to help you fight this with BMW SA. In reality, its all bullshit, they are at fault and now pass the buck to BMW SA and leave you to fight it alone.

I wonder if all the bmw issues from e90 is related to this:
