1. Your 135 N54 car has got no Midpipes/Mid-cats...so its deleted from the factory.

So are they 2 small boxes and one big one? They looked like 2 big round copper things on each pipe and joins to a big box

I will be damned...

I can see from the pic a rear muffler box and two mid-cats. Did not think there was enough space for two midcats. It also appears that the two midpipes from the cats are welded into the single muffler. Cant see how you can remove them without cutting the pipes.

by the down pipe side there are bolts and on the single muffler there are bolts. Could I not just undo them and reinstall them?

If they bolted on then you can remove them and reinstall them for services.

Does anyone know if I can ask the guys to put the black tips from the original system and put it on the PE? Will it fit?

The BMW performance pipe diameter is 60mm.
Yes, ask them to fit the black tips it looks better than the chrome of the PE. The tail tip size is irrelevant because they have to cut the PE tail tips off against the muffler...or rather let me say, the stock tail tip wont be smaller so you should be fine.

I also didn't get my stock exhaust back, I assumed that's normal :) for all the guys that have stock exhausts, seriously consider doing the performance pipe, it's fuller in sound, an like mpcheshire said, dct downshifts are simply amazing ;) the pipes need some mileage tho to sink in but honestly worth every cent spent......

Did they refit the black tips on the exhaust for you? I was hoping to do the same when I had my performance exhaust installed.

Cheers Craig

I'm thinking of getting the pe as well , just not 100% sure and perhaps looking for some confirmation. Are any of you guys in jhb?, would it be okay if we met so I can hear it? I'm in the sandton area. If not that's cool.

On another note, I bought a set of black grilles not so long ago and the prices from the dealers were extremely different, one dealer said 1500 each, another 1100, 950 and I eventually paid 500 each, is it the same with the exhaust and another performance parts?
