BMW oil change service special

Hi guys,

Does anybody know if BMW is still doing this?

Its a great special I have made use of to service my car which is out of plan and really affordable.

My car is due now again but I got quoted a whole lot more than the special when I inquired at Clearwater BMW.

I was quoted R2.2k over the phone for oil and oil filter service.

SMG Durban special till 31/03/19...

nb. prices were much lower in September...but I suppose paying R1.2k for an oil service is better than R2k:cartel:

just rather do the oil change DIY.. not expensive for a filter and oil, just requires some tools

Hi Guys,

I had my 320i oil service today at Paarlberg BMW for R850. The special is still on tomorrow and the price varies according to whether your car is 4 or 6 cylinders and petrol or diesel. When I I n initially enquired I was told I could bring my car in early tomorrow morning and wait for it if I liked because they are open until 12.

Apparently there is another special starting on Monday which I think is for a full vehicle check.

...and here I done an engine oil and brake fluid change this morning at SMG Century City for just over R2200. If I knew about this I would have booked with Paarlberg. mgwaiting:

I paid R1050 last year sept for my 6 cylinder e46 325ci.

Oil specials do come in handy!

Did a DIY oil change yesterday.
Cost R610 for 7l liqui moly oil and R100 for oil filter, filter housing gaskets and sump washer

Took just over an hour but my low car made it t difficult to even get the jack under.

BMW quoted R1800 for this.

Seriously id do my own , but I don’t have the tool to remove the oil filter nor some proper ramps to get the cab up . :dunnoanymore:

But I guess it pays to have FSH with the dealer when selling .

4cyl petrol - R1000
6cyl petrol - R1300
4cyl diesel - R1300

includes oil and filter
