BMW oil change service special

Hi guys,

Does anybody know if BMW is still doing this?

Its a great special I have made use of to service my car which is out of plan and really affordable.

My car is due now again but I got quoted a whole lot more than the special when I inquired at Clearwater BMW.

SMG Durban has the special running:

4cyl petrol - R1000
6cyl petrol - R1300
4cyl diesel - R1300

includes oil and filter

Ended up doing it DIY. Not a big job but you loose the record on the service history.

Anybody know if this special is running nationally or only in Durban?

For anyone that’s still looking for a service special in Gauteng, BMW Isando is running one on minor services (oil and oil filter):

I’m not 100% sure of the pricing for each vehicle, but the 6 cylinder petrol is R1600.

For those who arent aware. Auric Auto in claremont are having an oil service speical from R699 till the end of june. Obviously price will go up depending on engine size but still a good deal. Saw it ppsted on their insta page last week

Bmw Normally does two service specials a year.

I called Bmw Bruma two weeks inquiring, and the service assistant told me it should be on same time as last year, from July to September.

Paid R1,600 last week Friday @ Auto Glen BMW for the X3.

I was offered this plan by ABM but I ended up declining as it didn't add up.
They advertise it as a 2-year oil service plan, that covers up to 3 oil services.
That sounds great, R4200 for 3 changes...well worth it.
The catch is that you don't decide when you want the oil service done, it is all behaviour based. So it is very likely that you will only end up servicing your car once, maybe twice, for R4200.
So not worthwhile if you are out-of-plan with a modified vehicle wanting to change your oil more regularly.
A normal service through ABM with the BMWFanatics discount seems to work out to be a better deal than this bundled deal they offer.

I was told differently, the 2 years is for the optional on-call package, the 3 services are not time limited, and you may elect to service when required.

I will verify again but I was told you get 3 service. You get what you pay for from my buddy at BMW.
